Pitchfork Music Festival // identity project
The Pitchfork Music Festival is an annual 3 day music festival held in Union Park in Chicago Ill.
The festival has three stages and hosts the Flatstock poster exhibition, CHIRP radio project and DEPART-ment independent artist sale. The Identity project seeks to combine all of these elements under one visual roof using stage and light pole banners with the same visual theme. The theme displays interweaving images of past performers and modern abstracted type. The type is not fully readable on any one banner for a couple of reasons. 1 The type will become apparent as people
see the banners together as a whole and 2 everyone who is there knows why they are there.
